2018 Camp

This is my reflections on our yr 5/6 camp in Napier and it will tell you different things on what we did over the week. We also stayed at Kennedy park while in Napier. Enjoy :)

Seeking help

Today we were learning about seeking help when things go wrong online.
I learnt that it is not okay to send mean comments to someone when I don't even know them.
I found it hard to screenshot and send it via email.
I found it easy to write something for my poster.
Next time I need to add a few more things to my poster to make it more interesting.

Netiquette

We were learning about Netiquette. I learnt that it means to have good manners when on the internet.
I learnt that I found it easy to come up with ideas for our task.
I found it hard to come up with a character for our task
I really enjoyed designing my character
Next time I need to plan my ideas before I start typing.

Cybersmart Messages

We were learning about collaborating with a buddy on the same slide at the same time and commenting to each other.
I found it easy to choose a background. 
I found it hard to work on the same cyber character at the same time.
I really enjoyed working with Ruby, my buddy.
My top tip from doing this work is planning ahead before doing something so you know what you are doing and you aren't getting in each others way when working on the same slide or document etc, etc. 
Next time I need to know what I am doing before I start.

paragraphing

This is what our class did for our word work. I enjoyed doing the paragraphing activity. The thing that was difficult was making the paragraph. Maybe next time I could make it a little more interesting.

My personal hero
I am showing the work I have learnt about a New Zealander who changed New Zealand.
I enjoyed finding out about my hero and what he did.

The thing I found hard was finding information that would interest my viewers.

The thing I will do next time is add more information for my readers to read.

This is my ship, I used Google Drawings.

I enjoyed making the boat because it turned out the way I wanted it to.

I struggled on nothing , it was very easy.

I could improve the sea a bit better than it is.

My name is Jorja. I am from Australia. I live in Tairāwhiti. I go to Ormond School. I have one brother.

I am good at horse riding. I enjoy hanging out with my friends. My challenges are stepping out of my comfort zone. My goals for this year are to get a lot better on my math.

I am looking forward to starting surf lifesaving.The person that inspires me is my mum. I am a little nervous about my blog. I don’t really like sharing things for people to see. I don’t mind staying connected with others - just not all the time.
